Flawed Annual Poll Is Wrong Again!
Charleston, W.Va.-- The following is a statement from Conrad Lucas, Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party, regarding a recent poll conducted by RLRepass & Partners, Inc.:
"It is that time of year again. As always, the highly flawed Repass West Virginia Poll is released just before Labor Day and it showcases incredible inaccuracies and a misunderstanding of the West Virginia electorate. Once again, the Poll is highly favorable for Democrats and we'll wait until November to prove just how wrong it is.
For historical reference, in 2012 this same poll predicted President Obama would lose the Mountain State by only 14 points but the actual result was twice the Repass figure. Even more off base was Attorney General Patrick Morrisey being down to Darrell McGraw by 24 points this time in 2012 according to Repass and we saw Patrick Morrisey victorious on Election Day. Further, in 2013, the West Virginia Poll showed Shelley Capito leading Natalie Tennant by only 5 points but in 2014, Capito cruised to a record-breaking 28 point victory. This annual poll is ridiculous.
As West Virginians consider their options this fall, the only conservative choice is Bill Cole. Mr. Cole has already championed conservative legislation to protect the unborn, support the Second Amendment and create good paying jobs across our state. To continue West Virginia's return to prosperity, the choice for governor is clear and we must elect Bill Cole."
