Melody Potter was elected as the National Committeewoman from West Virginia in August 2012 and currently serves on the RNC Resolutions Committee. She is a small business owner and Vice President of Tri-Star Coal Sales. Potter attended Morris Harvey College and West Virginia State College. Her political activities include being a member of the Kanawha County Republican Women, the Chairman of the Kanawha County Republican Executive Committee, the Volunteer Coordinator in Kanawha County for Bush-Cheney 2004, serving as Associate Chairman and Vice Chairman of the WV GOP Executive Committee. Potter is also active in her community as a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member at Dunbar Church of God. She currently resides in South Charleston with her husband, Robert, has one son, Russ, and two grandsons, Noah and Jacob.
