Charleston, W.V. – Roman Stauffer, Acting Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party (WVGOP), issued the following statement after former President Donald J. Trump’s speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday.
“President Trump’s speech this evening reminds our Republican Party that we must fight now more than ever for leaders, policies, and priorities that put America First. Our West Virginia Republican Party must fight for the jobs of our coal miners, oil and gas workers.
“We must fight to get our kids back in school now. We must complete the border wall to keep our families and neighborhoods safe. Our Republican leaders must work to ensure the integrity and the security of our election process.
“The Republican Party is the only political party that is fighting and supporting American workers and businesses. We must oppose cancel culture, stop open borders, higher taxes, and fight against a bigger, more controlling government.
“Our mission at the West Virginia Republican Party must be to create a future of good jobs, strong families, safe communities, a vibrant culture in West Virginia, and a great nation for all Americans.”
