Charleston, WV — West Virginia Republican Party (WVGOP) Chairman Matt Herridge released the following statement regarding President Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday:
“The radical, angry, and divisive speech Americans heard from President Biden last night was shameful. This administration is failing the American people, and the President’s so-called ‘solutions’ to the biggest issues facing the nation are only making matters worse. The only way to change the direction in which our country is going is to make Joe Biden a one-term President and send Donald Trump back to the Oval Office to restore sanity in America. West Virginians yearn for a return to the successful policies of President Trump — policies that delivered a strong economy, energy independence, safer streets, secure borders, conservative courts, and no new wars. President Biden’s tone-deaf speech should be a reminder to all Americans that in 8 short months, we must vote Republican up and down the ballot to save America!”
