Charleston, WV — West Virginia Republican Party (WVGOP) Chairman Matt Herridge released the following statement, celebrating the Republican nominees who advanced through Tuesday’s primary election to represent the Party in the general election.
“Last night, West Virginians made their voices heard and granted Republican candidates up and down the ballot our Party’s coveted nomination to advance to the general election! Our Republican ticket in November, being led by President Trump, Governor Justice, and Attorney General Morrisey, will be strong and victorious. While the Democratic Party continues their sprint to the radical left, distancing themselves even more from the people of West Virginia, the West Virginia Republican Party is fully committed to continue electing members of our strong Republican team.
Herridge continued, “Republicans across the Mountain State will unite and ensure we continue advancing our conservative agenda and defeat the Democrats! We are excited and already beginning efforts to assist our local committees with county and municipal races, expand our legislative supermajorities, sweep our statewide offices, and send Republicans to our nation’s Capitol to increase our margins in the House and fire Chuck Schumer! The road to victory begins now!”
