Charleston, WV — West Virginia Republican Party (WVGOP) Chairman Matt Herridge released the following statement on former President Trump’s presidential debate victory on Tuesday:
“As expected, last night, Vice President Kamala Harris provided no answers about how she would address the most pressing issues facing the nation. Costs are rising, the border is wide open, crime is out of control, and wars continue to rage around the world — all under the leadership of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. Harris demonstrated no plans to solve these crises, and if she had, why haven’t they been implemented over the last 4 years?”
Herridge continued, “Alternatively, from the cost of living to illegal immigration, and from crime to foreign policy, former President Trump would put America back on the right track and Make America Great Again! Despite a biased duet of ABC moderators, the message to the American people was made clear: another Trump presidency would bring a return to lower taxes, energy independence, reinstated zero-tolerance illegal immigration policies, and supporting and empowering our law enforcement. West Virginians are ready to re-elect Donald Trump and elect an entire team of Republicans down the ballot to deliver conservative victories from the courthouse to the White House!”
