Charleston, WV — West Virginia Republican Party (WVGOP) Chairman Matt Herridge released the following statement on Tuesday, celebrating another county flipping to Republican in voter registration.

“The trend continues, as Marion County joins 47 other West Virginia counties in registering more Republicans than Democrats. As voters continue to make abundantly clear, the Democratic Party is out of touch with the people of West Virginia. While we certainly still have work to do, Republicans are proud of our platform, the values we hold, and the principles we fight for as we continue working to make West Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. As recently as 2016, it was Democrats who held voter pluralities in nearly 50 counties; today, that is totally reversed. We welcome all voters who align with our values and priorities to join the Republican Party — the fastest growing party in the state!”
